Ravel Valse V mm 17~25

I was tickled to find a wonderful youtube of Arcadi Volodos using a fingering similar to this one, also eliminating Ravel’s hand crossings. Of course in his case, it’s a choice, not a necessity, but the point is, you don’t have to be ashamed to use fingerings like this. Volodos is a piano demigod—if it’s good enough for Volodos, it’s good enough for anybody.
